Virtual Reality Lego Roller Coaster Is Here

Legoland Malaysia Resort will launch a lego roller coaster that uses VR (virtual reality). It will be the first in the world. 

Themed 'The Great LEGO Race', the traveler can enjoy it in November 2017. As the official information received detikTravel on Saturday (09/30/2017), a similar vehicle will also exist at Legoland Florida Resort and Legoland Deutschland Resort in 2018. The 

Integration of VR technology with the sensation of roller coaster ride is a new attraction. It is developed by Merlin Magic Making. 

The Great LEGO Race will transform three roller coasters 'Project X' into an exciting experience. Kids and parents are challenged to try out the best experience in the steering wheel that goes into the lego world.

"The vehicle is inspired by the way a child plays with his Lego toys at home. This is a unique Lego adventure that allows children to enter the whole imaginative world made of Lego bricks featuring fun themes and Lego characters. All these things are intertwined with each other, "said Candy Holland, Senior Creative Director of Merlin Magic Making. 

The traveler will see the favorite rider from the Lego Minifigure collection. The riders will enter the twisting racetrack and fight the lego bricks, clash with characters like Trendsetter, Pharaoh, Surfer Girl, Wizard, and Pirate Captain in the racecourse. By wearing a VR headset, of course, visitors can see the race from various directions, namely up, down, front, and back.

The adventures of the rides began as the traveler approached the new entrance portal with a roaring engine sound. Nearby, the coaster line will resemble a pre-race area where the pit crews each of five lego racers prepare for the competition, including interactive and hands-on elements to entertain drivers who are in the queue. 

During driving, Bluetooth technology will synchronize the virtual visuals with a twist roller coaster when it goes down or up on the track. There will be many new experiences full of sensations, such as surprises that also make you laugh.
